Our Philosophy

When most people marry, they are so involved with each other and being in love that they have not really thought about the pitfalls of marriage and the hard work required of both parties to overcome those pitfalls in order to make their marriage last until “death do us part.”  Unfortunately, some marriages should be dissolved for reasons such as abuse and other intolerable situations.  Also, it is very difficult to strengthen a weakened marriage due to poor communication, financial problems, lack of commitment to the marriage, infidelity and other reasons. 

 

Reno Family Law knows that divorce is not always the answer and encourages people who are seeking divorce to first seek professional help from a trained marriage and family therapist, their church or other resources for family support.

Reno Family Law does not encourage divorce and would rather see potential clients work out their problems, but when divorce is the only solution, he will advise his clients as to what to realistically expect.  Since no two family law cases are exactly the same and there is no single way in which every case should be handled, he will structure each case to his client’s advantage, raise all issues, and diligently and skillfully work to advance and protect his client’s legitimate claims and interests.  Reno Family Law’s goal is to obtain a prompt and fair settlement.  If a settlement is not possible, Reno Family Law will expertly and thoroughly prepare the case for trial so his client will lose as little as possible.
