On March 20, 2009, Ronald J. Logar JD, was the first recipient of the Nevada Bar Association’s prestigious “Pillar” Award. The Award was in recognition of his Leadership and Service to the Advancement of Family Law. The Pillar Award was created to recognize those Lawyers or other individuals who have epitomized the values and principles of the profession and its role in protecting the family.
Mr. Logar, while a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, petitioned the State Bar of Nevada to create a Family Law Section, the first section ever approved. Mr. Logar was the President of the Executive Counsel for several years, during which time he created the Nevada Family Law Report, a quarterly publication of the Family Law Section. He was its editor in chief and editor emeritus. His tireless and unselfish devotion to educating family lawyers, legislators and the public is truly appreciated. |
